Itinerary
16 nights · 17 ports of call- 1
Day 1 ·Copenhagen, DenmarkEmbark
2 Aug 2028Depart 19:00Immerse yourself in the vitality of this delightful capital city of the world’s oldest kingdom as you explore its expansive parks and plazas and a treasure trove of historic galleries and buildings. Discover its exquisite combination of Scandinavian elegance and European joie de vivre. Visitors traveling outside the city enter an altogether different world; one where stately castles are found nestled in the gentle, emerald-green Danish countryside. - 2
Day 2 ·Lysekil
3 Aug 2028Arrive 08:00Depart 18:00 - 3
Day 3 ·At Sea
4 Aug 2028 - 4
Day 4 ·Alesund, Norway
5 Aug 2028Arrive 08:00Depart 18:00Charmingly eccentric and steeped in its own very unique architecture, Ålesund boasts an outrageous collection of pastel-colored buildings, with towers and turrets, alongside (surprise!) pharaohs and dragons that peer down upon fascinated passersby. Its architecture is a surprising result and a testament to its citizens coming together to rebuild their city after a devastating fire in 1904. It took three years of construction, fueled by the Jugenstil movement, embodying a style that most closely resembles Art Nouveau. The result: uncommonly wonderful. - 5
Day 5 ·Trondheim, Norway
6 Aug 2028Arrive 07:00Depart 17:00Trondheim is a city on the Trondheim Fjord, in central Norway. Dating back to the 11th century, Gothic Nidaros Cathedral features an ornate rose window and a detailed west facade. Nearby, the Archbishop’s Palace Museum houses archaeological findings and sculptures, including gargoyles, removed from the cathedral. Ringve Museum is a music museum in a former manor house and barn. - 6
Day 6 ·At Sea
7 Aug 2028 - 7
Day 7 ·Seydisfjordur, Iceland
8 Aug 2028Arrive 08:00Depart 18:00Tucked deep inside a mountain-walled fjord, this colorful town would look right at home in Norway. The bright wooden houses, the wandering reindeer, barking seals, snow-dusted peaks and cascading waterfalls. But its 100% Icelandic, rich with outdoor adventures and home to a vibrant arts scene. Hiking in Skalanes Nature Reserve promises sightings of diverse wildlife, on land and in the air. The floating geothermal pools at Vok Baths spa are a luxury not to be missed. Kayaking’s great here, too. - 8
Day 8 ·Akureyri, Iceland
9 Aug 2028Arrive 08:00Depart 17:00Situated on one of the most magnificent fjords in Iceland, bounded by snow-capped mountains and gently sloping pastures, the weather here is surprisingly moderate despite being just 60 miles from the Arctic Circle. Charming and historical, here you’ll find over 2,000 species of plants in the Botanical Gardens, which thrive without the benefit of a greenhouse. - 9
Day 9 ·Isafjordur, Iceland
10 Aug 2028Arrive 08:00Depart 18:00Ringed by dramatic mountains and perched on a narrow fjord-side spit of land, this old trading post’s as remote as they come – yet boasts a trending arts scene. Walk among tin-roofed homes built by salt fish merchants, admire seagoing artifacts and – for some reason – a world-class accordion collection at the Maritime Museum. Discoveries further afield might include splendid Icelandic waterfalls, a pint-sized botanic garden in the tundra, and tiny villages dwarfed by their surrounding peaks. - 10
Day 10 ·Reykjavik, Iceland
11 Aug 2028Arrive 08:00Depart 23:59Isolated in a northern landscape of icy tranquility, Iceland is a land of volcanoes, hot springs, mountains and glaciers. As the capital of Iceland, Reykjavík reflects this natural diversity with ancient maritime history as well as a thriving modern energy and sophistication. - 11
Day 11 ·Reykjavik, Iceland
12 Aug 2028Depart 16:00Isolated in a northern landscape of icy tranquility, Iceland is a land of volcanoes, hot springs, mountains and glaciers. As the capital of Iceland, Reykjavík reflects this natural diversity with ancient maritime history as well as a thriving modern energy and sophistication. - 12
Day 12 ·At Sea
13 Aug 2028 - 13
Day 13 ·Stornoway (Isle Of Lewis)
14 Aug 2028Arrive 09:00Depart 17:00Delightful Stornoway is the capital of the Western Isles with a population of only 8,000. Beautifully situated on the seafront, overlooking a magnificent harbor, Stornoway is considered by many to be in one of the most picturesque regions in Scotland. The town's friendly inhabitants are revered for their seafaring traditions and they enjoy a level of self-sufficiency that is normally only seen in larger towns on the mainland. - 14
Day 14 ·Belfast, Ireland
15 Aug 2028Arrive 09:00Depart 22:00With the decades-long “Troubles” settling into the past, Belfast today boasts a hip, art-filled, foodie-scene, a glittering waterfront and welcoming personality. Ornate Victorian homes and grand Edwardian civic buildings line streets, while quaint lanes are dotted with pubs and boutiques dressed with overflowing window boxes and brightly painted doors. Consider a quick trip over the lough, or small bay, to Carrickfergus Castle, the best-preserved Norman castle in Ireland. - 15
Day 15 ·Dun Laoghaire, Ireland
16 Aug 2028Arrive 08:00Depart 19:00Once considered a major port for Great Britain, Dún Laoghaire (or Dunleary), has successfully maintained its quaint country charm despite the recent tourism boom. Now a popular cruise stop in Ireland, conveniently located just outside of Dublin, the city still boasts an intimate country feel with its offering of local retail shops, bistros and a scenic pier promenade. - 16
Day 16 ·At Sea
17 Aug 2028 - 17
Day 17 ·Portsmouth, United KingdomDisembark
18 Aug 2028Portsmouth is a port city and naval base on England’s south coast, mostly spread across Portsea Island. It’s known for its maritime heritage and Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. The dockyard is home to the interactive National Museum of the Royal Navy, the wooden warship HMS Victory, where Nelson died in the Battle of Trafalgar, and HMS Warrior 1860.
