On its walkable riverfront, lined with parks, restaurants and bars, are the ornate Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and the National Museum, displaying artifacts from around the country. At the city’s heart is the massive, art deco Central Market.

   Tân Châu is a town of An Giang Province in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam. As of 2009 the town had a population of 184,129. The town covers an area of 175.68 km². It is famous for Tân Châu silk with the famous product Lãnh Mỹ A, whose black colour comes from the Diospyros mollis's fruit.

Located 85 kilometers southwest of Ho Chi Minh City, the city covers an area of 65.75 km² and has a population of 143,639 as of 2009. Nowadays, Bến Tre is connected to the surrounding provinces by the Rạch Miễu Bridge.
